MOOLADHARA CHAKRA
Mooladhara is the lower chakra represented by the earth element. We are made of flesh and bone we came from the earth. It is our basic Self with our basic instinct almost our animal nature. So the energy working here is the gross energy, our food intake our basic need our connection to the body. Our attachment to our territory, our family our goods, we go for the security. Fear is abundant here and it cause lots of emotional turmoil, which need to be clear out. Its awakening will bring lots of past experience, emotional imprint, Samskara to buble up. We�ll have to work as well on our physical body and our mind to help the drain of those past scares. Hatha Yoga is advise here, Asanas working directly on the physical body, helping to drain out the accumulated tensions, reorganizing the body system like endocrine glands, muscles internal organs etc. the cleansing practices (panchkriya) like kunjal(vomiting), trataka(candle gazing) Kapalabhati etc will bring definite result. Pranayama is a must to allow the energy to start flowing properly and to be balance. Bandhas and mudras will also be of a great help.

• Guna: tamas(sthiti - inert, punged into a state of repose and torpo.)
• Symbol: Yellow Yantra Square, surrounded by Four Red Petals represents the Four Directions of Earth, 3 and half coil serpent (gunas and potentiality to transcend them).
• Granti Pyshic knot: brahma
• Mantra: Repetition of Bijan Mantra-lam, opens up blocks in the lower body. Each petal has a Sanskrit letter (vam, sarn, sharn, ksam). Kundalini Shaktl lies coiled like a snake in a downward pointing triangle. Meditation of the 1st Chakra awakens the Kundalini and starts the upward flow.
• Deities:Baby Brahma - Ever watchful creator, brings piece of mind and calms fears.
Dakini Shakti - Protectors, Creator, Preserver, Destroyer.
Animal:Alravata the Elephant - Vehicle of the Bija Mantra-Lam, Searches for food and takes orders.
