Third Eye and Psychic Chakra
Yaizu :Saturday June 20 2009 at 7:00 pm
The
pineal gland makes various neurochemicals which acts
with serotonin to make an hallucinogen (DMT) similar
to the hallucinogenic, tea, Ayahuasca, used by
Amazonian shamans specifically for psychic purposes. This suggests that the
pineal gland truly is our third eye, our psychic centre, the physical location of Ajna Chakra. This aspect of the pineal
gland is thought to be the trigger for dreaming, which takes us into a psychic
state of consciousness every night.
Workshop : Opening the Third Eye: Meditations for Ajna chakra
Yaizu: Sunday June 21 at 9:00 - 15:30
During the past 5 years research in India, first at a Yogic Ashram
university, and then at a Tibetan monastery, has been exploring the Yogic and
Buddhist teaching that advancement in meditation leads to expanded awareness
and enhanced psychic ability. Whilst the primary emphasis of both Buddhist and
Yogic practices are on spiritual development, becoming a more peaceful,
compassionate and joyful human being, these are difficult to measure
scientifically. So a measure of expanded awareness has been developed in which
precognitive and clairvoyant ability are measured.
Swami Satyananda Saraswati locates the physical aspect of ajna chakra in the
pineal gland and has developed a programme of
exercises for opening up this centre. The research on the pineal gland will be
discussed and some of the yogic breathing and meditation techniques taught,
together with a simple psychic test.

Yaizu Saturday June 27 2009 at 7:00 pm
We all sleep for a third of our lives, so if you live to 90 you will
have spent 30 years sleeping and dreaming. Yet what goes on during this hidden
time? This talk gives an overview of dream research, and what is now known
about dreaming from the physiological and psychological aspects.
Workshop :Understanding and Working With Your Dreams
(max 20 pers)
shizuoka Friday 26 at 9:00 till 3:30
Yaizu Sunday June 28 at 9:00 till 3:30
This workshop teaches you how to understand your dreams, so that you can
use them to help you in your daily life. We shall work with some techniques,
such as dream sharing, word association, and dream induction, that help you to
understand your dreams, as a source of wise counsel, as your own personal free
psychotherapist, for creativity and for help with problem solving. Then we will
go into the spiritual, mythic, archetypal aspect of dreams, where we shall work
with precognitive and clairvoyant dreaming, and our inner guide, which enables
us to connect directly with spirit for major transformation.
It is helpful to keep a record of your dreams for a few weeks before the
workshop so that you will have plenty of material to work with.

Talk: A
Psychophysiology of the Yogic Chakra System
Shizuoka Thursday? July 2 at
7:30
Yaizu Saturday July 4 2009 at 7:00 pm
Swami Satyananda Saraswati locates the physical aspect of the ajna chakra in the
pineal gland. He says that it is both the psychic centre and also the command
chakra, in charge of all the other chakras. The pineal gland, makes a neurohormone called melatonin which is the
off-switch for many of the endocrine hormones. A deeply enlightening, and
essentially practical, understanding of the chakra system emerges from this
research.
Workshop :Meditations for the Chakras - Swara Yoga: Science of the Breath
Yaizu Sunday July 5 2009 at 9:30 til 3;30
Through a 6-year programme of research into
meditation and psychic awareness with Yogis and Tibetan Buddhist monks, we have
been gaining a greater understanding of consciousness, and its relationship
with the energy body, the chakras and prana.
The pineal makes melatonin which controls the
hormones, the physical aspect of the chakra system. Working with yogic
techniques we can learn to control and balance this aspect of our being.
Swara yoga is the yoga of prana, the life force of the universe, and how we connect
with this. Tibetans say that, in order to consciously use one’s psychic
awareness, you have to purify what they call the “wind channels,” which are the
energy channels (the nadis) and chakras of the body.
In this workshop we will learn to work with prana in
the subtle energy channels. We will do breath exercises for the physical and
emotional levels, and prana vidya meditations for the psychic and spiritual levels.

Tibetan Psychic Traditions
Yaizu Friday July 10 At 7:30pm
The Tibetan culture is renowned for its psychic practitioners. This talk presents a brief overview of a
selection of Tibetan beliefs in psychic awareness. The oldest Tibetan
traditions are those of the oracles, which involves deity possession, and the practice of Mo divination which is done both by high lamas and by village people. Tibetans use
psychic practices extensively in every day life, and so have much to teach us
from their experience about the dangers of psychic practices.

workshop : Divination Techniques East and West (max 20 pers)
Yaizu Saturday July 11 at 9:30 – 15:30
Sunday Shizuoka
July 12 at 9:30-15:30 (if enough demands)
Divination is an expression of an underlying world order.
As one works with the symbolism and penetrates more deeply into its meaning,
one learns by its aid to arrive at an integrated view of the world, to see the one in the many.
Divination is the method of seeing what the future might hold, and so
can help in deciding the most appropriate course of action, or way of being in
a situation. In this workshop the essential basis of divination will be taught,
incorporating synchronistic methods such as Tarot and I Ching,
the biofeedback method of dowsing and the direct clairvoyance of “scrying.” Some people prefer one method, some another, so
the best method for you will emerge during the course of the day.
